About Dunia
I am a neuroscience major pursuing a Bachelor of Science with an Honors designation, along with minors in Nutrition and Psychology, which gives me a strong interdisciplinary understanding of how students learn and process complex information. My academic background has trained me to approach problems analytically while also understanding the cognitive side of learning, which I apply directly in my tutoring.
Alongside my studies, I have extensive experience in academic and clinical environments that require strong communication, patience, and attention to detail. This has helped me develop a clear and structured teaching style that focuses on making difficult concepts more approachable and easy to retain.
I am committed to creating a supportive and professional learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in math.

My teaching approach is centered on making math simple, structured, and actually understandable, not just memorized. I focus on breaking down complex topics like algebra into clear step-by-step reasoning so students build real confidence, not just short-term answers. I use a mix of guided problem solving, repetition of core concepts, and real-world examples to make abstract ideas easier to grasp.
A typical lesson starts with quickly identifying problem areas, then reviewing key concepts before working through practice questions together. I gradually shift responsibility to the student so they can independently solve problems with confidence. I also adjust my pace depending on the student’s level, whether they need foundational support or advanced challenge work.
What sets me apart is my academic background in neuroscience and my experience working closely in educational and clinical settings, which has strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly and patiently. I also understand how different students learn and adapt my teaching style accordingly.
