About Jo
I have a bachelors in mathematics and a PhD in computational neuroscience, from top universities. In my work as a researcher, I relied every day on the use of statistics, calculus, linear algebra, physics, chemistry, biology, and computer programming, and I can bring that practical experience to the classroom. I have experience teaching and tutoring a wide range of subjects in math, science and beyond, from middle school to graduate school.

I like to tailor lessons to the needs of the student and give individual attention. Learning should be a dialog, not a lecture. I try to find where students have conceptual gaps, and challenge them and guide them to find solutions for themselves.
