About Inês
I just submitted my Neuroscience PhD thesis and am currently awaiting for my Viva. Before, I studied at the University of Porto, Portugal, for my Biology BSc and Molecular and Cellular Biology MSc. I have a very good academic record, with overall final grade of 18 out of 20 in my BSc and MSc. I was awarded achievement awards for outstanding academic achievements two consecutive years of my BSc, by the University of Porto, Portugal. I also won best Poster and Talk during my PhD, at the Life Science PhD Symposium at the University of Sussex. During my PhD at the University of Sussex, I was an Associate Tutor for at least 3 classes of 10 students per year, for the course of Developmental Biology. I also supervised 4 undergrad students on their Undergrad Research Projects. Always had great reviews from my students, although I have no specific professional experience in individual tutoring.

Work the logic to improve the understanding via schemes and graphs. Simplify arguments and processes. Visual aids and tricks for memorising content. Review over and over again.
Firm but friendly approach. Honesty and support of the student. Building confidence is the most important for long-term achievements.
