New tutor, but as a Mandarin native speaker, I'm pretty sure I can teach a new learner as much as I can.

About Jing Yin
Hi, I'm Jingyin. I'm currently studying Foundation in Law, building a strong base for my future legal studies. I'm a patient problem-solver who genuinely cares about others, and I take my responsibilities seriously in everything I do. Outside of academics, I enjoy dancing and singing, which help me stay creative and expressive. As a native Mandarin speaker, I also have excellent Chinese language skills, allowing me to communicate fluently and confidently.

When helping others learn or understand a problem, I typically use the following approaches:
1. Step-by-Step Progression
Start with foundational concepts and gradually build up, avoiding throwing out too much jargon at the outset that could cause confusion.
2. Analogies and Metaphors
Use familiar everyday things to explain abstract or complex concepts, helping build intuitive understanding. For example, when explaining algorithms, I might use analogies like "organizing a bookshelf" or "waiting in line to buy tickets."
3. Breaking Problems into Steps
When facing a complex problem, break it down into several smaller steps and guide through them one at a time, rather than giving one vague, all-encompassing answer.
4. Adjusting to the Person's Level
Try to gauge the questioner's background and existing knowledge, then respond with an appropriate depth and language — simpler language for beginners, and direct discussion of details and edge cases for those with more experience.
5. Encouraging Questions and Interaction
If an explanation isn't clear enough, feel free to ask follow-up questions, request a different explanation, or ask for more examples at any time.
6. Being Honest About Uncertainty
If a question is beyond what I'm confident about, or requires checking the latest information, I'll say so clearly rather than giving a plausible-sounding but unreliable answer.
30 minutes to one hour per lesson.
