About Olufunke
I have been tutoring primary, secondary and adult learners in mathematics, functional mathematics and Sciences for almost ten years in the UK. All learners show outstanding performance with a pass rate of 100%. Weak learners showed marked improvement while strong learners were challenged to improve continuously.

I am Olufunke Akanbi and have been teaching different categories of learners (primary, secondary and adult) in Mathematics and Sciences (primary and year 7-9). I carry out initial/diagnostics assessment to determine what individual learner knows what he/she does not know and what individual learner needs to know to achieve his/her targets so as to progress. This is done by oral and summative assessment and the information obtained is used to jointly develop Individual Learning plan of learner. This is used to map out strategies and set targets to enable the identified levels of support be given so that all learners would succeed. The information obtained on areas of required support by all learners is used to develop the lesson plan within the scope of the curriculum such that the diverse needs of learners are met through relevant resources, teaching styles and techniques to ensure inclusivity when being taught in groups or as individuals.
The impact of the support provided will be periodically reviewed for any modification if necessary. Formative and summative assessment and peer work will be encouraged while prompt and constructive feedback which entails using medals, praise and mission will be used to inspire learners to learn and to involve them in their learning. Learning materials, worksheets and handouts will be provided.
Homework that are relevant to what is being taught at school will used to ascertain their understanding and guidance will be provided on any given assignment or pass question revision papers when they get stocked.
