About Lottie

Being a university graduate in Spanish Language Studies, I am a passionate language learner as well as teacher. Having gone through the language learning process myself, I comprehend the joys and hurdles of language acquisition. I will equip you with the tools I wished I had during my Spanish learning journey, drawing from my personal expertise and understanding of the learning process. As your tutor, I aim to boost and maintain your confidence and fluency. My goal is to create a supportive learning environment that encourages you to ask questions, get inspired by Spanish, and animated to continuously learn and improve your skills! You will learn what you need to know to speak, read, write, and read in Spanish. My lessons are not another tiresome Duolingo class! I enjoy teaching all levels and for all reasons. Whether you want to improve your skills for your next holiday, better your skills to write the best Spanish coursework, or understand your GCSE listening don't hesitate to contact me! :) As I have lived in Mexico and Colombia as well as learning Castilian Spanish at university, I can offer you a plethora of regional vocabulary. I am passionate about learning new vocabulary and sharing this knowledge with my tutees. As well as this, I can offer you real-world and first-hand learning materials so that you learn the most authentic Spanish you can! I love to share my cultural knowledge as well. I also teach English ESOL of all levels.

I don't use archaic teaching methods that can be boring and ineffective. Instead, I focus on creating a positive and supportive learning environment where you can feel comfortable and challenged. My lessons are a safe space for you to relax and enjoy Spanish learning. I will fully support you throughout your learning journey. Mistakes are welcome, as they are an inevitable part of language learning. I will never judge you, but instead help you correct your mistakes so you can avoid them in the future. As language is constantly evolving, my lessons reflect its dynamic nature. I teach language as a tool for communication, not just as a set of rules. I want you to be able to use Spanish to express yourself, your desires, thoughts, and feelings. Language is one of the great tools we have to connect with each other, open doors to your dream job, and more. During my travels in the Spanish-speaking world, I have gained experience teaching students of varying levels.
