About Faithmarie

In high school, I gained 3 years of experience tutoring students in math and reading. During my first two years of undergrad, I tutored chemistry, physics, and math through my college. I also offered private tutoring lessons to students needing additional support.

About the lesson

Holistic approach to learning with an emphasis on identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the student. By throwing the student into an area that they are unfamiliar with, I am able to see their approach and help them work through the material. They learn the material rather than just memorizing steps.

Typical lesson plan:
-Going over carefully curated material that was assigned after the previous session in order to assess mastery
-Attempting a problem set related to today's lesson
-Explaining the lesson and going through example problems
-Having the student work through the same problem set with the lesson in mind
-Assigning a problem set to be done before the next session

What kind of lessons I offer:
- Algebra- Calc 2
- Honors Physics - College-level Electromagnetism course

Faith was an incredible calculus tutor who helped me to succeed in my classes and prepared me to better understand the content in the future. Not only did she have a deep understanding of the underlying material, but she also was great at simplifying the complex concepts so I can understand them better. I highly recommend Faith to anyone seeking to excel in math or physics.
