About Hannah
My name is Hannah Bowman and I currently attend college for a degree in nursing, but I also have a background in English as well. I also have experience of looking after children ages 2 months to 5 years daily. On those days I would help teach reading, writing, and pronunciation to these children. I have found that achieving a solid basis of English has helped me ace the English sections on most tests including the SAT and the TEAS. Reading and writing are some of my favorite hobbies along with playing the piano.

Based on my experience, children need a mix of strict and fun lessons that help connect the why behind the what. Using fun phonetic games, immersive books, and interesting audio books, English can become fun.
A student can start out with phonetic cards and then move towards writing and reading simple words. Songs and audio tracks can help students hear and use certain words that may be initially hard.
Coming from an English background and attending multiple English courses at different colleges has broadened my abilities to teach English. I have taken a child development course and understand that each child learns in a different way and at a different pace than other peers.
My specialty is Pre-K through Kindergarten when it comes to age, but I am confident with my abilities to teach elementary age as well.
