About Zhongqian

I received my Master's degree in Computer Science at Cornell University, graduated with a 3.93 GPA. I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of California, San Diego, graduated with a 3.7 GPA. Presently, I serve as the project lead for an cross-discipline project at Cornell University. Have been software engineers for both academic and industry projects.

About the lesson

My teaching method is rooted in empathy and understanding, stemming from my own initial struggles with programming. I leverage a learner-centered approach where I facilitate rather than dictate the learning process.

Here are the techniques I usually employ:
Discussion-Based Learning: Encouraging students to share their perspectives and insights, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Real-World Applications: Connecting the theoretical aspects of programming with real-world applications to make learning more relevant and engaging.

My lessons are geared towards:
Students taking programming classes at entry level, from high school to university.
Beginners who are looking to break into the industry and want to build a strong foundational understanding of programming.
