About Matthew
I am a OCT certified teacher with qualification in primary, junior and intermediary divisions. I have taught classes from JK to grade 8 in language, math, science and various other subjects. I have also taught and tutored many students with exceptionalities (from MID to Autism) and have completed additional certified qualifications in this specialty. I am comfortable with e-learning and adaptive technology. I am a graduate of Queens university and am presently employed by a large Ontario school board.

I believe every student is capable of learning. It is simply finding the way that works for them. I have the patience and tenacity that is required with students that find work challenging. I can apply repetition, chunking and scaffolding to support learning. I can also source work from a range of sources that can engage student interest as well as learning. The most important aspects of modern teaching are engagement and guidance.
