About Ayaka

My name is Ayaka. I was born and raised in Japan, currently located in BC, Canada.

My whole education up to university was in Japan and I worked at Japanese companies and organizations, including a junior high/ high school (as an English teacher) and an online advertisenment company (as a sales representative) .

I have been certified to teach Japanese both to Japanese learners as their second language and to high school students in Japan.

I understand how hard it is to acquire another language especially to be able to understand the language spoken by native speakers and respond in a natural way. I am hoping that my past experience of struggling will help those who want to learn another language in the way that is efficient.

About the lesson

1. I offer special and innovative Japanese lesson program that fully focuses on speaking and listening skills!

2. This is designed specifically for English speakers who has studied Japanese grammar but has some difficulties in speaking and listening at the natural speed. (Lessons can be delivered either in English or Japanese, depending on your request.)

3. I use the method that is being very popular among English learners who do not much time but need to improve their English for their career achievements in Japan. Hence, it is a highly efficient way of gaining the language skills! (I apply this method to Japanese learning!)

4. This program is for English speakers who want to be able to have conversations in Japanese for a purpose such as travelling to Japan, moving to Japan, working with Japanese people or making Japanese friends.

5. The program is for 12 weeks (usually 1 hour lesson per week, but please let me know what works better for you!), and the fee is $32 per lesson. No textbook purchase is required unless there is a specific book you want to use in your lesson.
