About Victoria
I am a History Graduate with a First Class degree, and an MPhil in Heritage Studies from the University of Cambridge.
I have recently moved to London after working at Dove Cottage in Grasmere (where the Romantic writers William and Dorothy Wordsworth lived from 1799 - 1018), and I now work at The Wallace Collection in Marylebone.
Both of these jobs are/were in museum education, so I am constantly putting history into practice at work with a variety of audiences.
I am a friendly, considerate, people person, who thrives on supporting and collaborating with others.

I like to base my teaching on what the student wants or needs and ensure that my teaching style is tailored to the student and to how they learn best.
I have supported students in the past who have lacked confidence in a particular topic or skill, so I know the importance that confidence has in succeeding at school exams and am adept at supporting students with this.
My teaching will often include 'Cause, Event, Result' tables, mapping exercises, conversations, and discussions where I support the student through exercises or thinking to embed a topic or skill.
I also like to focus on exam technique (if the student is preparing for an exam) to ensure that the student feels confident in knowing what types of questions they will face in the exam, hopefully making them feel more relaxed and therefore able to achieve better results.
I have an approachable, relaxed and committed personality and I will give the best support I can to the student.
