I have known Chris for three years and being a violinist myself, I have brought some pieces / music that I have been working on to him for his insight into helping me play them better. He has been kind and patient throughout these interactions while also having very useful and poignant insights. Chris plays the violin quite well (to a very high standard even when compared to violinists at the conservatory) and in learning to do so has acquired key insights and skills. This combined with his willingness to share them and his patience make him a great teacher - one I would certainly recommend without any reservation to students of any level.
