Hello, my students and friends. You can call me Pack. I am a college student at the University of Auckland, majoring in Accounting and Business Analytics. Don't worry, I'm not a strict teacher but really hope you can learn something in my class. What my class style will develop mostly depends on you. If you prefer to learn words, grammar, and writing, I will help you. If you want to try a flipped class, that may greatly improve our efficiency in class. Flipped class means you will read and learn materials or videos before class begins, then we can develop deeply during class. Then after class, you can review them to reinforce the knowledge you learned.

I think I have the right to raise my opinions about second language study because I really tried many ways to learn English (my second language) in high school to achieve a high level. Here I want to share my opinions about teaching, based on experiences of studying English. First, don't push your kids too hard in a short time. Language learning is a long-term accumulated process, which means your kids have to improve listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities for a very long time in the future. If your kid has no foundation at an early young age, then I strongly recommend starting to learn with everyday objects. If your child is in middle school or high school, and already has some basis of Chinese, expanding the volume of vocabulary as well as learning the correct pronunciation is really really important. Second, I don't want to teach for too long per week. It's because your child cannot and should not accept so much training each time. One and a half hours is the best length of learning. Finally, I want to say "I know it is hard for you to learn at the beginning, and really hard to persist in learning a new language, but don't give up and you knock the door of a new world."
