About Jyotsna
I am a professional tutor for K-12.
If you are a parent, you would know how difficult it is to ensure that the tutor you have hired is dedicating complete focus on your kid and customizing the pace and content in a manner that it matches the speed of your child. I understand this and myself know, how frustrating it gets when you realise your above expectations were not met.
I love helping my students with their tutoring needs by being a friendly mentor and not just a teacher. I have a proven record of over a decade of experience in mentoring students and helping them reach their potential.
Talking further about me, I have my Masters in Literature (English), a Bachelors in Education and have been tutoring for approx last 10 years.
In this short span, I've been fortunate to have taught multiple batches of amazing pupils from classes 6-10 studying in renowned ICSE & CBSE Schools around Delhi-NCR, India. Since my Masters was in Literature, I have received excellent feedback for my literature and grammar batches, which I cover for all the classes from 6th to High School and even Senior Secondary(11th and 12th). In addition to English, I also have an extensive teaching experience around Social Studies, Math and General Science to students of classes up to 10th.

I have a personal belief that the role of a tutor is not just to teach or assist a student around homework and exam but to rather be a mentor. And as we all know and understand, a good mentor is supposed to be a friend and a guiding light to the mentored. And that is what I exactly try to inculcate in my methods.
I try to be a friendly guide and a strict teacher working on my student's abilities to not just solve a problem but also to come up with multiple possible solutions to the same problem. I deal with my students according to their learning aptitude and topic requirements; as every child is unique and possess a different understanding, learning and retention capability. While I encourage my student's problem solving behaviour, I am patient enough to listen to every student's problem and respond it with most suitable solutions.
