About Kalindi

I am a family caseworker for a charity in London,
I graduated from my BA in Cardiff and my MA in Manchester and moved to London earlier this year, and have decided to continue teaching music part time.
From the age of fifteen I have been tutoring a number of students in English revision, piano, violin, theory and 11+ exam prep.
I have a passion for teaching and am able to establish a good rapport with students, some students I have been teaching for over 5 years! I believe music is a language that can be learned at any age, and I get so excited when I can share this knowledge with people :)

About the lesson

I encourage students to work through the assigned books in accordance with the curriculum they prefer. I prepare them for the graded theory tests in either the ABRSM or Trinity exam boards, as well as starting theory classes for beginner level in order to enhance music knowledge.

I also run classes on music GCSE prep with focus on the composing and exam aspects of the course.

I am learning piano from scratch as an adult and Kalindi’s patience and excellent style of teaching have gotten me to a stage, in a short period of time, to understand some musical theory and play pieces of music that I wouldn’t have thought would be possible prior to learning to play.
