About Ali

I'm Ali. I help students understand engineering math and applied physics, especially when a worked example makes sense but starting a new question feels difficult. I studied Aerospace Engineering at the Institute of Space Technology in Pakistan, connecting calculus, linear algebra and differential equations with motion, energy and system behavior. My work with mathematical models and MATLAB/Simulink helps me explain what an equation represents and how to check a result. We work through the reasoning in manageable steps, then you practice applying it yourself. Questions about algebra, units or an earlier topic are welcome; strengthening those foundations often makes the next calculation clearer. I teach in English online from Pakistan, with lessons available to students in New York and across the United States.

Know the formula but unsure when or how to use it? We start with what is given, what is being asked and why a method fits. You attempt the next step with guidance, then practice a related problem. Lessons suit college and university engineering students and adults rebuilding foundations, with selected high-school algebra, calculus and physics topics.

Algebra, trigonometry and calculus: rearranging formulae, functions, graphs, simultaneous equations, exponentials and logarithms; differentiation, integration, rates of change and optimization. We connect the calculation to its mathematical or physical meaning.

Linear Algebra and Differential Equations: vectors, matrices, linear systems, eigenvalues and eigenvectors; introductory first- and second-order ordinary differential equations, initial conditions and selected Laplace-transform methods.

Applied Physics and Thermodynamics: motion, forces, free-body diagrams, work, energy, momentum and power; systems, properties, energy balances, entropy, cycles and efficiency. We check assumptions, units and signs as well as the final answer.

Probability and introductory statistics: averages and spread, conditional probability, Bayes' rule, expectation, variance and interpreting data. Selected distributions and regression questions are matched to your course.

Numerical Methods: selected root-finding, numerical integration, approximation, error and convergence. Where useful, MATLAB or Python can help us visualize or check a result while keeping the mathematical reasoning clear.

For assignments and projects, we interpret the question, review your attempt and trace errors. You develop and explain your own solution. Exam preparation uses representative questions, clear working and timed practice where useful.

In your first lesson, we choose one representative problem, identify the difficult step and set a focused practice target. Send your topic, current level, one question if available, any deadline and preferred times in New York time (Eastern Time). Related mathematics or physics topics are welcome; I will confirm the fit before booking.
