About Navtej
I am a recent A-Level Chemistry graduate with strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of current GCSE specifications and exam requirements. Having recently completed my exams, I am well acquainted with the style of questioning, mark schemes, and common areas where students tend to lose marks. I also hold a Bronze Chemistry Award, reflecting consistent attainment and a solid grasp of key concepts.
My lessons are structured and exam-focused, with an emphasis on building deep understanding and the ability to apply knowledge under exam conditions. I use a step-by-step teaching approach, starting with core explanations before moving into guided practice and exam-style questions. This helps students not only learn the content but also develop the skills needed to answer questions accurately and efficiently.

Approach / Teaching methodology:
My tutoring is structured around making Chemistry clear, logical and exam-focused. I break down complex topics into simple steps, then build understanding using active recall, short explanations, and exam-style questioning. A big focus is on practising past paper questions and learning how to apply mark schemes effectively so students understand exactly what examiners are looking for.

Qualifications / experience
I am a recent A-Level graduate with strong subject knowledge in Chemistry, having recently completed my exams. I also hold a Bronze Chemistry Award, demonstrating solid achievement and understanding of the subject at a competitive level. My recent experience means I’m very familiar with current exam formats and common question types.
