My Approach to Tutoring As a BSc Economics graduate from the University of Manchester, I bring a strong analytical background and a clear, logical approach to teaching GCSE Maths. My aim is to help students not only improve their grades but also build confidence in problem-solving and independent thinking. I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the student, starting with a quick assessment of their current understanding and areas for improvement. I use a combination of: Step-by-step explanations to break down difficult concepts Real-world examples to make maths more relatable and engaging Interactive questioning to encourage active thinking rather than passive learning Practice problems and exam-style questions to build exam confidence and technique I also believe in creating a supportive and patient learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes – because that's how real learning happens. Lesson Details: Typical lesson length: 60 minutes Location: Online (via Zoom, Google Meet, or preferred platform) Extras: Optional homework, feedback after each session, and progress check-ins every few weeks Whether a student is aiming for top grades or just wants to pass comfortably, I adapt my teaching style to suit their goals and learning pace.
