Lesson Structure
Warm-Up: “Across the World” Chat (5–7 mins)
Purpose: Relax the student & activate speaking
Activity ideas:
“What’s the weather like where you are today?”
“What is one thing people in your country love?”
“What’s one English word you heard this week?”
Teacher note: Correct gently, focus on fluency first.
Vocabulary in Context: Global Life (10 mins)
Theme changes every lesson, for example:
Travel & airports
Food from different cultures
Online meetings & emails
Daily routines around the world
Method:
5–8 useful words/phrases
Use pictures, short videos, or real examples
Student makes their own sentences
Example: Word: “culture shock”
Student sentence: “I felt culture shock when I moved to…”
Speaking Focus: Real Situations (15 mins)
Role-play based on international life
Examples:
Ordering food in another country
Introducing yourself in an online meeting
Talking to a teacher, host family, or colleague
Small talk with people from different cultures
Role-play twist:
You switch roles halfway to keep it fun.
Micro-Grammar (10 mins – no heavy rules!)
Grammar connected to what they just said
Examples:
Past tense while talking about travel
Present simple for routines
Polite phrases (“Could you…?”, “Would you mind…?”)
Correct 2–3 key mistakes
Give a simple pattern
Practice in speaking, not worksheets
Confidence Builder: “Say It Better” (5 mins)
Take one sentence the student said earlier and:
Improve pronunciation
Upgrade vocabulary
Make it more natural
Example:
“I very like this food”
“I really enjoy this food”
This boosts confidence FAST
Cool-Down: Cultural Question (5 mins)
End with a relaxed conversation:
“What is a polite habit in your country?”
“What food should visitors try in your country?”
“What’s something foreigners misunderstand about your culture?”
This makes lessons personal and international-friendly.
