About Eric
Maths is the subject where small gaps in understanding snowball fast, and by the time most students come to me, they've spent months feeling lost and quietly convinced they're just 'not a maths person.' They almost always are.
I'm Eric, an online Maths tutor with 5 years' experience working with students from primary school through to A-Level. My background is in Data Science and Computational Intelligence, which means I think about problems analytically and love finding the clearest, most logical route through difficult material, exactly what struggling students need.
My sessions are calm and structured. I don't just walk through examples; I ask questions to understand exactly where your child's thinking is going wrong, so we fix the root cause rather than just papering over it. From there, we build exam technique, timed confidence, and the kind of solid understanding that holds up under pressure.
Students who come to me frustrated usually leave sessions feeling like it's actually makeable. That moment when something finally clicks after weeks of it not making sense is genuinely why I do this.

I teach Maths from primary level through to A-Level, tailoring every lesson to where the student actually is, not where the syllabus says they should be.
For younger students, I focus on building strong number foundations and a positive relationship with Maths early, before gaps have a chance to compound. For GCSE and A-Level students, the focus shifts to exam technique, structured problem-solving, and the kind of timed confidence that holds up in the actual exam room.
A lot of students I work with lose marks not because they don't understand the topic, but because they don't know how to show their working clearly or manage their time under pressure. That's fixable, and often quickly.
Sessions are calm, focused, and always adapted to the individual. I also provide regular progress updates to parents so you always know how your child is developing, what we've covered, and what we're working towards next. Whether your child needs to secure a pass, push for a top grade, or stop dreading Maths, we'll build a clear plan and work it systematically.
