About Nolwenn

My name is Miss Deneuche, I am a 23 year old French teacher trainee who has been studying languages for nearly 10 years now!
I am someone who strongly believes that learning languages starts with a pinch of motivation, a lot of reassurance, and the building of confidence in yourself - which I all provide within my lessons.

I used to hate languages until I met a teacher that taught me what learning really was: a tool that you create for yourself to approach life with the belief that you can reach for your dreams. A little cheesy, but a valuable lesson that I still carry with me and that I try to pass on to my students, so that they can open as many doors for themselves as they can.

I have now worked for two years as a full time language assistant, so I am highly familiar with the English teaching system and French curriculum, and I speak both English and French fluently; therefore my practice with you would always be of the highest standards! I adapt my lessons to every student so you never get to feel overwhelmed, and rather motivated to keep on practicing and learning more :)

About the lesson

I believe that speaking is one of the most important and neglected aspects of learning foreign languages, and I wish to help my students improve their speaking by making them practice regularly with a native speaker. The phonetic aspect of a language is crucial to understand how pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary and grammar works in other languages!
But I can also work on practicing listening, writing and reading.

My lessons are for anyone studying from Year 7 to Year 13, and a lesson would typically last from 15 to 30 minutes for secondary school students, or 30 to 45 minutes for A-Level students - but it can be adapted to every student's need for improvement and/or need for building of confidence :)

I have worked as a Teaching Assistant for two years for the Modern Foreign Languages department of a school in London, and am now currently undergoing a course as a teacher trainee, that will see me working as a Qualified Languages Teacher next year. I also happen to have a Bachelor's Degree in English and have graduated with a Baccalauréat in French and French literature studies :)
