About Emily
I am currently Psychology student myself and I have two children at home. I am looking to specialise in Educational Psychology which is an extra motivation for me to tutor as it gives me a look in to that world and also benefit students including those with additional needs.
I was a child with ADHD and throughout studying found a tutor really helped me focus with the 1-to-1 environment.

My lessons are typically based on younger primary aged children but I would be open to working with older children as well we usually make use of flash cards, games and writing activities to help the children gain confidence in their literacy abilities.
I have worked as a Teaching assistant 1-to-1 with primary aged students of all needs and abilities to help them develop their reading, spelling and literacy comprehension.
I normally work on a 1 hour lesson schedule but this can be a lot for a younger student so I am open to working on shorter more regular time scales if this is best for the students.
I do also have experience and qualifications working with children who are neurodivergent, have additional needs or who have an EHCP in place so I am happy to work with the parents and students to put anything in place that is needed
