About the lesson

Personalized Instructional Focus:
Whether your student is in a public, private, or homeschool setting, my 60-minute, one-on-one sessions are designed to provide the consistency and specialized focus needed to master the mechanics of language. I explicitly tailor my instruction to support students across two critical developmental stages:

2nd – 5th Grade | Structured Literacy: Focuser on establishing strong foundational reading skills through the Science of Reading, targeting decoding, orthographic mapping, advanced phonics, and automaticity.

5th – 8th Grade | Advanced ELA Skills: Designed for upper elementary and middle school students transitioning from "learning to read" to "reading to learn," focusing on morphology, vocabulary acquisition, complex reading comprehension, and professional communication frameworks.

The Parent-First Advocacy Model:
To ensure the safety and success of every student, I operate under a Parent-First Advocacy Model.

Important Policy: I work exclusively and directly with parents or legal guardians for all bookings, initial consultations, and progress updates. I believe a strong, communicative partnership between the tutor and the family is the ultimate catalyst for a child's literacy journey.

Note: All initial consultations must be scheduled directly by a parent or legal guardian.

Scheduling & Cancellation Policy:
To ensure every student receives my full focus and a consistent routine, I maintain a strict schedule. Because these one-on-one sessions are customized entirely to your child’s specific needs, that time block is reserved exclusively for them and cannot be filled on short notice.

Late Cancellations: A 100% charge of the full session fee applies to any cancellation made with less than 24 hours' notice.

Late Arrivals: Arrivals more than 15 minutes late are considered a "no-show" and will be billed in full. This policy ensures I can respect the schedules of all families and maintain our shared instructional goals.
