About Mary
Music became my primary language long before I realized it could be a career. Have you ever wondered why your sound feels thin despite hours of repetitive practice? Working with 102 students over 13 years has taught me that structure matters.
I help teens, self-taught players, and returning learners break through those invisible walls. As a Yale graduate, I lean on my foundation in piano and voice to explain string technique differently. I genuinely love hearing that first clean shift into a high position. It reminds me why I started playing the violin so long ago.

Your first session begins with a diagnostic assessment to map your current technical landscape. We identify your strengths and gaps immediately.
Then we build a specific plan for your shifting, intonation, and spiccato bowing. This is about real clarity. My lessons are designed to turn confusing technique into logical steps. I promise to keep our focus on your unique tone production while we refine your classical repertoire.
