About Iona
I have a BA in English Language & Literature from the University of Oxford and am currently in my final year of a part-time MA at UCL. I am also a children's author and have published multiple award-winning books with HarperCollins.
I have an Enhanced DBS Certificate and four years of experience as a private tutor.

I have wide-ranging experience teaching a variety of levels of English Language and Literature from the start of primary school up to A-Level and International Baccalaureate. I have experience with 11+ and 13+ independent school entry exams and have prepared children for entry at a variety of schools including UCS, St Paul's Girl's School, City Girls, North London Collegiate, Highgate School, Queen's College, Brighton College, the Harrodian School, Mill Hill and the Oratory. I work closely with students and parents/agents to tailor lessons to the individual needs of each student, helping those that struggle with English to improve their grade or helping capable students to get further ahead. I also teach ESL and creative writing and am able to help with university applications.
