About Simran
Hi! I'm Simran and I recently graduated from Brasenose College, University of Oxford with a 2.1 in Law (Jurisprudence).
I have A*s in English Literature and English Language at GCSE (100% UMS).
I know it can be intimidating approaching English by yourself and working out how to improve, but I also know that with some reassurance and with someone to guide you through, anyone can succeed :)) I loved English at school and having read Law I'm pretty good at writing essays.
I've mentored younger students at school, as well as frequently helped out my classmates (and tutored my younger sister), so I've developed a knack for explaining things clearly and in a way that everyone can understand (eventually!!!)
I know how important exam technique and will give you advice and tips on how to write answers examiners are looking for so that you can get the marks you deserve!

Before our sessions I'll make sure I've gone over the set texts and looked up the exam board specification. My sessions will be quite flexible, and I'll be sure to adjust my teaching style to how you learn best: for instance, through a mix of examples, giving feedback on written work/essays and working through exam questions etc.
