About Carla

Hi, I'm Carla and I'm a 4th year medical student at the University of Oxford. I have been tutoring for many years and really enjoying working with students and seeing them become more confident as they increase their understanding of topics, as well as supporting them with university applications. I always ensure my sessions are engaging and strive to provide a comfortable environment where the student can express their ideas and ask questions.

About the lesson

I have many years of tutoring experience to students at a range of standards, including subject specific tutoring for GCSE and A level, as well as support with university applications for medicine. I will provide personalised tutoring sessions, which aim to increase the student's understanding and confidence in the subject. Sessions will be 1 hour, involving detailed and engaging discussions, practice questions and the opportunity for the student to ask questions throughout.

Support for university applications will involve personal statement advice, entrance exam support and interview practice.
- personal statement: advice on structure and content, review of personal statement
- entrance exam support: tips, practice questions and feedback for UCAT and BMAT
- interview practice: tips, mock interviews and feedback for MMIs, panel and OxBridge interviews
I know the application process can be daunting, but I would love to help you become more confident and support your application to such an incredible course and career.
