About Danielle
I am a graduate of Oxford University and a qualified translator from French, Greek, Italian, Latvian and Spanish into English. I lived in Luxembourg for six years while working as a translator at the European Parliament there. As a native English speaker, I also taught English as a foreign language in Greece for 3 years in a private foreign language school and as a private tutor, teaching pupils aged from 3 to 40, ranging in experience from beginners to advanced. I also taught my own daughter French GCSE at home and was delighted when she achieved an A*. I love to pass on my knowledge and to encourage other people to reach their full potential. Connecting with students is very rewarding to me, and I look forward to helping you improve your French in a way that suits you. I keep my knowledge of French up-to-date through visiting France and Luxembourg, reading French materials and using the language on a daily basis as a translator.

Bonjour! My name is Danielle. Thank you for your interest in reading my profile. Whether you want to learn French as a total beginner, or improve your French skills, I would love to help you. How I teach: I'll use your personal preferences to shape our lessons. For example, we might focus on your hobbies, current affairs or travel. Or on song lyrics - whatever you are genuinely interested in! Language skills: while I'll adapt my methods depending on whether you learn better by listening, speaking or doing, we will cover the basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Age of students: any - from 5 to 105! Lesson length: 30, 45 or 60 minutes We will agree on goals and focus accordingly, whether on conversation, grammar, writing or translating. Experience as a private French tutor, as well as teaching English as a foreign language.
