About Isabella
I am an Oxford University Music student, and graduate of the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I have also performed with the National Youth Music Theatre and British Youth Music Theatre for a number of years. I hold a Grade 8 Distinction in Piano.

I am currently an Oxford University Music student and have studied piano for almost 10 years. I am happy to teach children from absolute beginners to grade 5, incorporating technical exercises and repetoire in addition to music reading/theory, sight reading and aural into lessons.
I work closely with students and aim to create long-lasting positive relationships with each student as an individual. Generally lessons will be split into a technical warm-up, then a work through of repetoire followed by exam specific preparation such as aural and sight-reading (this will be replaced by music reading/theory for very beginners). Repetoire will mainly stem from the 'piano time' or ABRSM grade books, although this can also be supplemented with simple sing-along jazz standards and chordal accompaniments to favourite popular songs according to the will of the student. This will not only provide students with a sustainable and grounded technique, but also keep lessons engaging and practice fun!
I am open to varying lesson lengths (generally these will be 30-60 mins) according to the needs of the student either online or at my or the student's home.
For whatever reason your child intends to learn piano, I promise to be a friendly and supportive teacher and hopefully inspire them further along their musical journey!
