About Jasmine
Not sure if you're ready to begin major life improvements or procrastinating on your resolutions? Let's start with a friendly chat. You've already done the hard part - starting, looking up information, and finding the right coach. Let me help from here.
Transitioning from a high school Judo athlete - strong, active, with my whole life ahead of me - to an ambulatory wheelchair user was one of the hardest things I've ever had to manage in my life. While others my age were worrying about college applications and enjoying high school and college life, I was taking myself to the ER and being admitted for weeks at a time. My doctors didn't understand that a high schooler wouldn't know complicated medical terminology, much less how to set up insurance and manage a rare condition. They didn't understand that saying 'go on a diet' brought up more thoughts of 'am I fat?' and 'how do I hide this so I can still eat with my friends' than 'I don't want to eat salads'. They didn't realise that months spent bed-bound would have an irreversible impact on the educational and career prospects of a college-age student - or, for that matter, on my relationships with my family, my social life, my personal life and more. I couldn't see my family members in their final days at the hospital because I would get sick so easily that a day as a visitor at a hospital would land me 2 weeks in bed. My friends and family pitied me, but couldn't empathise or give constructive advice.
Here's where I step in. I've spent the last 8 years of my life training in peer support, crisis support, psychological first aid, para-athletics, physiotherapy, yoga, nutrition and more - all to keep going in a life everyone thought was hopeless. And I'll admit - there were times even I didn't know if I could build a better life. But I realised that didn't matter. What mattered was that I wasn't ready to give up. And now, I'm happily married, a para-athlete (disabled sports athlete) and pursuing a Master's degree.
Let me share all those years of resources and skills I've learned with you. Let me be the knowledgeable friend to you, that I wish I had. Those helpful columns and podcast hosts you wish would answer your call. Let's take the first step together, and see where we find ourselves.

Whether you're a successful businessman with concerns in your personal life or a young person who suddenly got hit with a life-changing event, my door is always open for you to stop by for a chat!
When you're in a session with me, your feelings, whatever they may be, will always be accepted and validated. I believe that no emotion or emotional response can ever be wrong - it's the actions that follow that may have consequences we don't truly want. I never tell anyone that they don't have a choice, or that they can't do something - because truly, everyone always has a choice. My role as a guide only extends to helping you find what's important in your life, and how to avoid losing them. You might say I'm a dreamer... but believing in you is the first step in my process to help you believe in yourself and achieve your goals.
I take a holistic approach to my coaching sessions. These are just a few of the areas I address:
- Diet
- Stress factors
- Work-life balance
- Lifestyle and exercise
- Current constraints vs future goals
Note: I am not a medical professional and will not be giving medical advice.
