About Pamela
I grew up in Paris and was educated in French schools, experiences that deeply shaped my relationship to language and culture. I majored in French Literature at Brown University and later studied filmmaking at UCLA graduate school, both of which continue to influence the way I approach French expression and communication today.
Alongside teaching, I'm a practicing artist working professionally in and around the arts. My sessions are conversational, thoughtful, and individually tailored, drawing naturally from film, music, poetry, art, culture, and everyday life, depending on your interests and level.
Sessions move naturally between French and English, with an emphasis on listening, nuance, curiosity, expression, and enjoyment. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me is watching someone gradually become more playful, expressive, and at ease in French.

I offer French conversation sessions inspired by art, culture, Paris, and everyday life.
These are creative and individually tailored to your interests and level. We may explore film, music, poetry, travel, current events, or simply everyday exchange. Conversations move naturally between French and English at whatever pace feels comfortable for you.
My approach is thoughtful, engaging, and intuitive, with an emphasis on listening, nuance, curiosity, expression, and enjoyment. Sessions are open to all levels and especially suited to adults drawn to language, culture, creativity, and conversation in a one-on-one setting.
