About Ruth
I am Ruth, a Special Needs tutor focused on supporting learners with learning difficulties that include; Dyslexia (English studies), Dyscalculia (mathematics), Dysgraphia (writing) and ADHD. I am a Certified Special Needs teacher from Greenzone Special Needs Academy and a graduate in Computer Science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK). I have been a special needs teacher for 3 years and counting. I chose this field after I taught a pupil that struggled with dyslexia. I understood true joy when she started making progress and it opened my heart to a lot of possibilities.

I begin with a comprehensive assessment (IEP), this is key in understanding the unique strengths and challenges of each learner and helps me to provide suitable resources best for each learner's learning pattern . I will be utilizing visual, auditory, and hands-on techniques that resonate with the learner's preferred learning style. I firmly believe in the power of positive reinforcement through reward systems. Collaboration is key. I maintain regular, open communication with parents to share progress and provide resources for home support.
