About Yannick

I grew up surrounded by music. I started with the clarinet in elementary school, moved on to trumpet in high school, and then joined the Air Cadet marching band. I also played in orchestras and jazz bands, even competing in Florida. All this school experience gave me confidence in my musical abilities, which helped me a lot when I later taught myself guitar and piano after my studies. I learned those two instruments much more intuitively, and that allowed me to deepen my understanding of music, rhythm, and harmony. Every day, I keep learning, and in doing so, I keep developing my teaching approach—starting with myself. I mainly teach beginners because I love that moment of discovery: it’s such a precious time, and I truly enjoy awakening curiosity about the musical world in newcomers.

A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, I offer beginner piano and guitar lessons with a simple, creative approach tailored to your pace. Together, we’ll shape your lessons around your interests and abilities. We can work on rhythm, technique, musical intuition, improvisation, reading—anything that calls to you! The goal is to give you the tools to express yourself freely and feel the joy of playing above all. You don’t need to be a virtuoso to experience music—often, all it takes is a little support for your talent to shine through. Let’s discover the musician you want to become!
