About Gage
I am a passionate Piano tutor with 12 years of teaching and professional music experience. I teach piano to school and college students and enjoy helping learners develop their musical abilities while gaining confidence and discipline.
Throughout my career, I have reached important milestones, including guiding beginners to become confident and expressive piano players. Seeing students progress steadily and enjoy music has been deeply rewarding and inspiring.
My lessons focus on building strong fundamentals such as posture, finger technique, hand coordination, rhythm, and music reading. I also teach basic music theory to help students understand the structure of the music and become independent learners.
I believe piano learning supports focus, patience, creativity, and emotional expression. Music education helps students build confidence, self-discipline, and positive habits that extend beyond music into other areas of life.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and adaptable. I personalise lessons based on each student’s pace and goals, ensuring that they enjoy learning while steadily improving. My aim is to inspire students to love piano and continue their musical journey with confidence.

I believe that piano lessons should be practical, engaging, and creatively inspiring. I focus on communication, ensuring that students understand hand techniques, rhythm, music theory, and expressive performance clearly. Lessons are tailored to each student’s learning style—visual, auditory, or hands-on—so students can progress effectively while enjoying the learning process.
I use real-life examples and case studies to make lessons relatable and meaningful, including performing favourite songs, analysing classical works, and demonstrating music’s applications in films, media, and everyday life. Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, ear training, improvisation, and beginner composition, helping students develop technical proficiency, creativity, and musical understanding. My teaching encourages performance confidence, discipline, and a lifelong passion for music, enabling students to express themselves fully and enjoy every stage of their piano learning journey.
