About Jack

I'm Jack, a dedicated English and EAL tutor and pre-service teacher for years 7-12. I have a valid working with children check and professional experience in Melbourne public schools. I recently received the Provost's Commendation for academic excellence in my Bachelor of Education studies at La Trobe University. I am 32 years old and from the UK. I have exceptional English skills and a deep-rooted passion for reading and learning, which I aim to instill in my students.

About the lesson

My training in different pedagogical approaches means I can provide bespoke teaching to each learner. My initial session is free to better understand learner needs, goals, and aspirations. Every subsequent lesson will be tailored to fit these needs, and I will dedicate time to understanding how each individual best learns and provide the tools for them to excel in their learning.

An essential part of my approach is ensuring learners receive in-depth feedback to inform progress and increase their confidence. Years 7 - 12 are tricky to navigate, and I want to alleviate exam stress by being available, patient, and constructive when working with learners. My service is a safe space available to all learners, regardless of needs.
