About Shalane
Hi! I’m Shalane, a passionate and dedicated Filipino Education student teacher who enjoys helping learners develop their knowledge, skills, and confidence in Filipino.
As an aspiring educator, I have gained valuable experience in preparing lessons, creating learning activities, facilitating discussions, and supporting students with different learning needs. I believe that every student learns differently, so I strive to make my lessons clear, engaging, patient, and student-centered.
My goal is not only to help students improve academically but also to create a comfortable learning environment where they feel confident asking questions, sharing their ideas, and making progress at their own pace.
You can expect me to be patient, prepared, responsible, and supportive during every lesson. I take each student’s learning needs seriously and always aim to explain concepts in a simple and understandable way.

Hello! I’m Shalane, a passionate and dedicated Filipino Education student teacher who believes that learning becomes more meaningful when lessons are engaging, understandable, and connected to students’ experiences.
My Teaching Approach
I use a student-centered and interactive teaching approach. I adjust my teaching strategies according to each learner’s level, needs, interests, and learning pace. I use clear explanations, examples, guided practice, discussions, questioning, activities, and short assessments to help students understand the lesson rather than simply memorize information.
Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins with a short review or warm-up activity to connect the new topic with what the student already knows. I then introduce and explain the lesson using simple examples. Afterward, we work through activities or exercises together, followed by guided and independent practice. I also provide feedback and clarification before ending the lesson with a short recap or assessment to check the student’s understanding.

As a Filipino Education student teacher, I understand the importance of patience, communication, and adapting lessons to different learners. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students can confidently ask questions and express their ideas. I also incorporate creative and practical activities to make Filipino lessons more interesting and easier to understand.

My lessons are suitable for elementary, junior high school, senior high school, and beginner college students who need support in Filipino. I can help students with Filipino grammar, reading comprehension, writing, literature, communication, vocabulary, and other Filipino related academic topics.
My goal is to help every learner become more confident, improve their skills, and appreciate the Filipino language and literature through meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences.
