About Maddie

I have been lucky enough to grow up with a French grandmother who has inspired me to become a passionate and a competent bilinguist. I also lived in Grenoble for a year (as part of my university course), this enhanced my confidence in speaking French. I completed an intensive B2 level course (2 years ago), although am C1 level now. I also achieved an A in French A-level, with top marks in my speaking exam, and would love to help other students achieve their goals too!

About the lesson

I understand how difficult it can be to learn a foreign language - especially in a room full of other students. It often results in a lack of confidence and eventually motivation. I have found that linking the syllabus with subjects that students' personal interests helps to keep them engaged and enthusiastic when practising speaking and reading- whilst developing their skills and confidence!

Perfect! The first lesson went on very well.

I want to learn to speak the French language. Maddie was very straightforward and took the necessary measures to help me get started. She began with very engaging text that I found interesting, challenging and exciting.
