About Marie

Hi! My name is Marie. I was born in France and moved to Montréal at 17, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies from Université de Montréal in 2020. During my studies, I gained valuable experience tutoring children and teenagers, supporting them in their schoolwork and helping them grow in confidence. I’m passionate about languages and love working with both adults and students. For adults learning French as a second language, my approach combines two key elements: clear lessons to build a strong foundation, and lots of conversation practice with me, a native speaker, to develop fluid and natural communication. For younger learners, I provide patient and structured academic support tailored to their needs. My goal is to create a learning environment that is supportive, interactive, and motivating—so that French feels not only accessible, but also enjoyable.

About the lesson

I believe language learning works best when it’s both structured and practical. I combine clear lessons to explain grammar, vocabulary, and cultural context with plenty of real conversation practice to make the language come alive. I adapt each session to the student’s level, goals, and pace, ensuring progress feels both achievable and motivating.
