About Joe
I’ve spent years playing, studying, and working with music in real-world settings, private lessons, school, studio sessions, and live performance. Guitar has been a constant part of my life, and I bring that same practical experience into every lesson.
My approach is simple: meet you where you’re at, figure out what you want to learn, and build a clear path forward that actually makes sense for you. I don’t rely on a rigid system—I pay attention to how each student learns and adjust from there.
I care about helping students feel confident with the instrument, not just technically, but creatively too. That means breaking things down in a way that feels approachable, and making sure you’re actually playing music, not just running exercises.
Whether you’re just starting out or already have experience and want to level up, I’ll keep things focused, honest, and practical so you can really hear and feel your progress.

I believe learning guitar should be fun, inspiring, and personalized. With over 25 years of experience studying, recording, and performing, I tailor every lesson to your goals and learning style.
I teach both electric and acoustic guitar across a wide range of genres, including rock, blues, jazz, country, funk, pop, and experimental music. Whatever you're excited to play, we'll learn it together while building strong technique, musicianship, and confidence.
Whether you want to learn songs, improve your playing, understand music theory, write music, or prepare for performances, I'll create a lesson plan that fits you. I work with beginners through advanced players of all ages, helping each student develop lasting skills and a genuine love for music.
