About Agan
My teaching focuses on breaking down difficult topics into simple, manageable steps while encouraging originality and creative expression. Many students find English challenging because they believe it requires raw talent—but this is a myth. From experience, I know that long-term success comes from consistent effort and practice. I help students build strong study habits and make English less intimidating, even when tackling long essays. Our 60 min lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, balancing revision, new learning, and feedback. As a medical student with a strong English score and ATAR (Both 97th percentile!), I provide supportive guidance for primary and secondary students (Years 1-11) to grow in confidence, improve their writing, and achieve strong results.

English lessons for students in Years 1–11 can be conducted in person in Armidale, at home, in a library, or online anywhere, entirely based on the student’s preference! Each session is typically 60 minutes, but I can tailor lessons to be longer during exam periods for secondary students. Homework, such as practice essays, paragraphs, and planning exercises, is provided and personalised to target each student’s areas for improvement, with detailed feedback given to both the student and parent. Lessons can be structured to work alongside the school curriculum or to get ahead, depending on the student’s level and goals.
