About Max
Hi! I’m Max, a qualified teacher (QTS) and MA Philosophy graduate from King’s College London. I teach introductory philosophy to learners of all ages, helping students explore ideas, question assumptions, and develop clear, structured thinking.
Philosophy isn’t just for academics—it’s a tool to broaden perspective, improve reasoning, and understand the world more deeply.
I combine structured discussion with approachable, interactive lessons so that everyone—from curious children to adult learners—can engage confidently with philosophical ideas.

Each lesson is conversational, structured, and reflective, designed to stimulate curiosity while building reasoning and discussion skills.
A typical session might include:
Introduction & Exploration: Discussing questions, ideas, or a philosophical text to spark thought.
Interactive Discussion: Encouraging students to debate, question, and articulate their reasoning.
Structured Reflection: Summarising key insights and connecting them to everyday life or learning goals.
Next Steps & Challenges: Setting small exercises or thought experiments to continue thinking between sessions.
Students leave lessons with sharper critical thinking, broader perspectives, and a sense of intellectual curiosity that extends beyond the classroom.

As Max's Dad, I can certainly vouch for his English skills and he is a very good communicator with all age groups. I am very happy to recommend him as a tutor.
