In my science lessons, I aim to create an engaging and interactive learning environment where students not only grasp key scientific concepts but also develop a sense of curiosity and critical thinking. For example, in a recent lesson on **ecosystems**, I began by introducing the fundamental concepts of biotic and abiotic factors. To make this topic more relatable, I tied the lesson to real-world examples, such as local ecosystems and environmental issues.
The lesson involved both direct instruction and hands-on activities. I led a demonstration of a simple food chain model, encouraging students to work in small groups to create their own versions of food chains and webs using materials provided. This collaborative activity allowed students to visually grasp the interdependencies within ecosystems.
