I offer personalised private tutoring designed to build confidence, improve understanding, and help students reach their full potential in English. My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and student-centred. I believe every learner is different, so I adapt my lessons to suit each student’s pace, learning style, and academic goals.
What makes me unique as a teacher is my ability to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I focus not only on improving marks, but also on strengthening foundational skills such as reading comprehension, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, writing structure, and exam techniques. I aim to make lessons engaging and practical so students can apply what they learn in class and in everyday life.
I am fluent in both English and Afrikaans, which allows me to explain concepts clearly in either language where needed. This is especially helpful for students who may understand explanations better in their home language.
In a typical lesson, students can expect: • A quick review of previous work
• Clear explanations of new concepts
• Guided practice with examples
• Time for questions and discussion
• Homework support or exam preparation where necessary
My lessons are aimed at students who need assistance in English, whether they are struggling with the basics, preparing for exams, or simply wanting to improve their overall language skills. I work with primary and high school learners and tailor lessons according to their grade level and curriculum requirements.
