About Qiana
Hi!
My name is Qiana, a Chinese native speaker.
As an experienced translator and passionate language lover, I myself speak four languages outside my mother tongue, including
· English,
· Korean,
· German,
· French (I am currently actively learning it!).
I can relate how difficult it is to learn a language that is nowhere close to your language. My responsibility is to help you manage the hesitation and the confusion during the journey to learning Chinese!
I am a community tutor, which means I am more flexible of arranging the class that is right for you.
We don’t follow rigid instructions that are required for exams.
We don’t do homework that doesn’t help us speak better.
The only thing we will be focusing on is speaking naturally and fluently.
And you will be able to talk to Chinese speakers spontaneously as long as you are committed to take lessons regularly.
I grew up in a dialect-diverse environment, which means I can not only teach you how to speak Mandarin, but can also teach you Cantonese culture and dialect if you happen to have interest!

I will teach you how to speak naturally like a native Chinese speaker. No fear for complex grammar or confusing alphabets! We will be focusing on speaking this language itself, just as you first start to speak your mother tongue. As a Cantonese, I can also teach you local Cantonese expressions if you happen to be intrigued.
I am a translator since 2018, so I understand the importance of the cultural nuance and the linguistic context of different languages. Thanks to this experience, I have sharpened my adaptability and ability of co-switching, which can be supporting a diverse and multi—cultural class.
My class is flexible, customised to your preference, and you will be seeing improvements immediately as long as you are committed to learn take speaking lessons regularly!
No matter you are a young child who, an inquisitive student or an ambitious adult language learner, as long as you are keen on exploring the language of Chinese, my class is meant to find you and help you achieve your goals!
I will be helping you pronounce and express accurately and naturally with my own techniques that are relatable and easier to remember.
To help all the students better focus and efficiently study, a typical length of a lesson will be 30 minutes. For lessons over 30 minutes, please allow a 5-minute break in between, for example, our class length is 60 minutes, then we will be having a 5-minute break in between depending on the progression of the class.
