About Jacob
Teaching the trumpet is more than sharing technical knowledge. It is about inspiring students to enjoy music while developing discipline, creativity, and confidence. I have worked with students from diverse backgrounds and experience levels, helping them prepare for concerts, examinations, competitions, auditions, and personal musical achievements.
My lessons combine technical instruction, music theory, ear training, and practical performance skills to create well-rounded musicians. I focus on making learning enjoyable through personalised lesson plans, constructive feedback, and continuous encouragement that allows every student to progress at their own pace.

My personalised trumpet lessons help students build a strong technical foundation while developing musical creativity and performance confidence. We focus on posture, breathing exercises, embouchure, articulation, note reading, rhythm, scales, finger coordination, tone production, and sight reading before progressing to range development, lip slurs, phrasing, dynamics, flexibility, and expressive interpretation.
Advanced students receive coaching in orchestral music, jazz performance, improvisation, audition preparation, and concert repertoire. Each lesson includes constructive feedback, customised exercises, and proven practice techniques that encourage steady improvement and lasting musical growth.
