About Olivia
Hi! I’m Olivia, a detail-oriented and patient tutor based in Calgary, Alberta with a strong background in math, physics, and analytical problem-solving. My approach to teaching Physics is all about clarity, connection, and confidence. I believe students learn best when complex concepts are broken into simple, visual steps and linked to real-life examples they can relate to.
Each lesson starts by reviewing what the student already knows, identifying gaps, and setting a clear goal for the session. I use diagrams, everyday analogies, and guided practice problems to make sure students truly understand the principles before moving on.
A typical class includes:
Quick review of the previous topic or homework
Step-by-step explanation of a new concept (e.g., motion, forces, or energy)
Practice questions and problem-solving strategies
Summary & key takeaways to reinforce understanding
What sets me apart as a tutor is my analytical mindset and patient communication style. I make sure every student feels comfortable asking questions and gradually builds the confidence to tackle even challenging Physics problems.
