About Pratik
I have grown up in a very competitive environment in India. This invariably required on my part to put an extra effort to stay ahead. I got admitted to the one the leading research colleges in India with scholarship followed by a fully funded Masters degree in Finance from Portugal sponsored by EU. I then joined as the Ph.D. fellow in Hungary but had to drop out because of personal reasons. All these milestones required on my part to prepare for competitive exams like IIT-JEE (much like SAT) (INDIA), GMAT (Portugal), GRE and TOEFL (Hungary) to score points which facilitated my admission to some great universities across the world. So, What I am implying is that I have a firm grasp on the fundamental /underlying concepts. I know how things work and why they work so. I am not someone who just believes in just applying the formula. I rather know the mechanics behind the formula and how they can be related to real-world examples.

Well, each student is different. So, I don't really believe in "one solution fit all" approach. What I mean is, concepts are concepts. They are universal static facts proved by experiments until proved wrong. So, what really matters is delivery. How do you engage your student so that rather than looking at them as a burden they actually come to enjoy and appreciate their beauty and come to realize ways to quantify them. One of the reason of my success in my teaching enterprise back in US was my ability to adapt myself to each student's unique needs and communicate with them in a language which served them the best. I have been consistently able to put my students at ease and tailor my language of teaching in a way where they don't see concepts as a burden but rather enjoy understanding it.
