About Jesson
Parents should choose me if they are looking for someone patient, reliable, and practical. I understand elementary learning from a parent’s perspective and know that many children need concepts explained more than one way before they click. My goal is not to rush through homework, but to help the student understand the material and gain confidence.
In the first session, I like to understand the student’s current comfort level, review recent homework or class material, and identify where they are getting stuck. From there, I create a simple plan to support the student with practice, explanation, and confidence-building.

Hi, I’m Jesson. I’m an experienced technology professional and a parent of three, with years of hands-on experience helping my own children with elementary math, reading, writing, homework, and study habits.
While I am not a certified classroom teacher, I bring patience, structure, and clear communication to tutoring. My professional background in IT and project management has trained me to break complex problems into simple, manageable steps, which is exactly how I like to work with younger students.
I focus on helping elementary students build confidence, understand the “why” behind what they are learning, and develop better habits around homework and problem-solving. I can support students with math basics, reading comprehension, writing practice, spelling, and general homework help.
My tutoring style is calm, encouraging, and practical. I try to meet each child where they are, explain concepts in simple language, and use examples that make sense to them. As a parent, I understand how frustrating homework struggles can be for both children and families, so my goal is to make learning feel less stressful and more achievable.
