About Jenelyn

Welcome to a learning space where your child’s confidence comes first! I am Jenelyn, and I am absolutely thrilled to welcome you and your young learner to my private English tutoring sessions. I know that school can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming, but I am here to make learning English an exciting, stress-free adventure.

As a high-achieving student myself, I offer a unique blend of fresh academic knowledge and the warm, patient heart of an encouraging older sister (Ate Jenelyn). My goal is to create a vibrant, safe environment where students feel completely comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and discovering their true potential.

Parents can rest assured knowing that every session is handled with the utmost professionalism, careful preparation, and genuine care. We will work hand-in-hand to turn tricky grammar and reading challenges into proud "I got it!" moments. I cannot wait to see your child smile, grow, and thrive in the classroom!

These private tutoring sessions are designed for Elementary Students from Grades 1 through 6. The curriculum accommodates diverse academic needs, ranging from primary students establishing fundamental phonics and sentence structures to intermediate students refining their reading comprehension, essay writing, and oral presentation skills. Every lesson is customized to align with the student's specific school curriculum and individual learning pace.

Pedagogical Methodology and Techniques

The instructional approach centers on creating a highly supportive, engaging, and low-anxiety learning environment where students feel confident taking academic risks. The core teaching framework utilizes the structured "I Do, We Do, You Do" modeling technique to ensure comprehensive mastery of the material:

Explicit Instruction (I Do): Concept introduction utilizing clear, simplified breakdowns, contextual examples, and visual aids.

Guided Practice (We Do): Collaborative problem-solving and joint exercises to build confidence and clarify misconceptions in real-time.

Independent Mastery (You Do): Autonomous student application through interactive exercises or brief assessments to evaluate retention.

Standard 60-Minute Lesson Plan
To optimize engagement and maintain student focus, sessions follow a structured, multi-phase format:

00:00 - 00:10 | Review & Warm-Up: A dynamic linguistic exercise or vocabulary game designed to reactivate prior knowledge and review previous concepts.

00:10 - 00:30 | Core Concept Instruction: Focused delivery of the day's primary objective, such as grammar mechanics, reading comprehension strategies, or vocabulary expansion.

00:30 - 00:50 | Guided Application: Practical execution focused on completing school homework, clarifying module requirements, and reinforcing the day's lesson.

00:50 - 01:00 | Assessment & Feedback: A brief recap of the student's progress, a summary of achievements, and constructive goal-setting for the subsequent session.
